Twitter in the Classroom

Have you ever thought about opening a twitter account for your classroom? Teachers can send updates about what their students are learning in class, important events, upcoming test, quizzes or due dates, or just cool facts about the subject they are teaching. A unique feature of Twitter is that you do not need a computer to check for updates, by configuring the Twitter settings, updates can be sent directly to "followers" cell phones by text message.

Thanks for these links. I'm looking for more schools and teachers who are using Twitter as a parent-communication tool.
